Brian

Brian Allnutt comes from Kentucky by way of Detroit, where he lived for several years doing urban farming and gardening. He studied literature, philosophy and history in college, but has years of experience working in the landscaping and horticulture fields. He came to the SOF to cement his agricultural knowledge and think about his next step as a grower. This year he is running the propagation greenhouse and looking forward to a number of things including starting a student book group, growing more Painted Mountain Corn and finding some creative uses for old seed. When he’s not farming, Brian loves reading, writing, cross-country skiing and minimalism.
