Jon

Jon’s interests in horticulture, environmental issues, and fresh foods have motivated him to pursue practical learning opportunities in organic and sustainable agriculture at Michigan State University in the Organic Farmer Training Program.  Jon’s goal by attending this program is to rapidly gain a solid foundation of skills and knowhow, that can then be put to good use making a successful impact towards economic and environmental sustainability by producing fresh, healthy, and local foods.  Jon is looking forward to making the most of this learning opportunity and to making an impact in the sustainable future beyond.

Jon Rosema is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Jon has studied business and accounting at Grand Rapids Community College and Grand Valley State University, and has experience in industrial manufacturing in multiple roles from production worker to accounting and finance.  Jon has pursued his interests in the natural world by growing gardens, doing tree work, and pursuing outdoor recreation.
